The lock that never comes off.

A biometric safety device that lives inside your trigger guard. Holstered, carried, drawn. It opens only for you.

The trigger is free before your sights are up.

Draw without arming

Show force without a live trigger.

Draw and present with the well sealed. When you choose to arm, your finger on the sensor authenticates during the draw, so the trigger is free before your sights are up. The decision to fire stays a decision.

Fail-open

A dead battery never locks you out.

If every circuit dies, you can still open your own lock. A child still can't.

Locks itself

Holstering re-locks it.

The holster mouth presses the doors shut as you re-holster. De-escalate, holster, secured.

The stakes

This is what an unlocked trigger costs.

6.7 million

American children live in a home with at least one loaded, unlocked firearm.

JAMA Network Open, 2024

76%

of firearms in unintentional child deaths were stored unlocked. 74% were stored loaded.

CDC National Violent Death Reporting System

266,000

firearms are stolen in the United States each year. More than 95% from private owners.

ATF

Locking both the firearm and the ammunition substantially lowers the risk of youth firearm injury, compared with locking neither.

See it work

Watch the logic fire.

This is not a video. The lock's own state machine is running in your browser, in real time. Your grip wakes the sensor, the print is matched on a sealed module during the draw, and only then does a single ~1.5A pulse from a boosted rail pull the pawl clear and let the springs swing the doors open. Under three-tenths of a second, every step causal. The lock is open before your sights are up.

The film

Ninety seconds. One decision.

Built to stop the accident, the impulse, and the curious hands.

Unintentional discharges. The darkest minute of someone's night. A kid who found what he shouldn't have. Biolokk exists so a moment of authentication stands between any of them and a live trigger.

Why this exists

Seven years in the United States Army and two deployments taught our founder what an unsecured weapon costs. Biolokk is built in Austin, Texas, by people who carry.

QUESTIONS

Straight answers.

Can you holster a pistol with a trigger lock installed?

With Biolokk, yes. It adds 2.0mm per side inside the trigger guard, which keeps the pistol inside the holster envelope on all 28 platforms we have measured. Conventional trigger locks are too wide to holster, so they come off the moment you carry. Biolokk stays on: holstered, carried, and drawn.

What happens if the battery dies?

Nothing locks you out. Biolokk is fail-open by design: if every circuit dies, you can still open your own lock through a mechanical release. A child still cannot. We chose that failure mode deliberately, because a safety device that can strand its owner in an emergency is not a safety device.

Is Biolokk a smart gun?

No. Biolokk is a removable safety device that installs in the trigger guard of the pistol you already own. Nothing about your firearm changes: no modified trigger, no altered internals, no account, no network. Take it off and your pistol is exactly the gun it was before.

How fast does it unlock?

Under three-tenths of a second, worst case, across every temperature and battery state we have tested. The match runs the instant you grip, during the draw, so on a real defensive draw the lock is already open before your sights are up. Your fingerprint is matched on a sealed module inside the lock itself, so your prints never leave the device and are never transmitted anywhere.

Which pistols does it fit?

Biolokk fits the most carried compact and duty platforms: Glock, SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson M&P, Springfield Hellcat, Walther PDP, CZ P-10, FN 509, Beretta APX, HK, and Ruger. We have measured 28 platforms so far, and the reserve form carries the full current list.

Does it stop theft?

No, and we will not pretend it does. Biolokk is a safety device built against accidents, curious children, and impulsive moments, not against a determined thief with time and tools. If theft is your concern, use a safe. Biolokk covers the hours your pistol is out of one.

Does it connect to my phone or the internet?

No. Biolokk has no radio, no app requirement, and no network connection of any kind. There is nothing to pair, nothing to update over the air, and nothing to intercept. Fingerprint matching happens on a sealed module inside the device, and your data never leaves it.

Who makes Biolokk?

Biolokk is veteran-founded and built in Austin, Texas. Our founder served seven years in the United States Army across two deployments and built Biolokk around what an unsecured weapon actually costs. It is designed by people who carry every day.
